Let's Drink and Drive!

I don't think the old "Don't Drink and Drive" campaign worked very well in Italy. Here's a product we spotted on the shelves of the shop when we stopped for gas on the Italian highway. And is that a Formula 1 driver on the package? Do you think this is what he drinks before every race?

It reminds me of when my son was about 4 years old and he heard the advertisements on tv and radio warning you not to drink and drive. One day while riding in the car, he spoke up. "I know why you can't drink and drive" he said. "Oh why?" asked I. "Because you might spill your drink!" The logic of children astounds me.

Updated comment.

I guess If I come to Tirana I should pack water, generator, be aware of drunk drivers riding on the wrong lanes and if I get hurt, have a doctor to lick me.

Almost every car on NASCAR is sponsored by beer companies, what`s up with that.

That's too funny! I also was going to comment about all the NASCAR drivers in the US with beer/alcohol company sponsors. Strange message is an understatement.

Second Anon,

Did you read the post correctly? It's in Italy, not Albania. And while I have my doubts about that doctor story, I think the post made it clear that it wasn't in Tirana, but some remote village. And that's the exception, not the norm. So what was the point of your post?
