On the Road Again

Am waiting in the Vienna airport... there's this weird setup here. I am sitting in the non-smoking area of the coffee shop -- and it's loctaed right inbetween the smoking are and the enclosed smoking booth-- which means it's the smokiest area in the airport!! It's horrible. But it's also the only place with a table for the laptop. How stupid is that for planning? And there's only one plug for anyone to use to recharge. One. And there's a line-up for that already. Anyhow...

My ticket has been screwed up a lot this time. The latest mess was when they gave me the boarding card for Toronto-Halifax later today and it said 9 PM which would have menat arriving in Halifax at midnight or so and then there's a 1.5 hour drive to our house. Sigh... so instead of going with the flow I paid to change my ticket to the earlier flight I was supposed to be on. For the cost of the change I could have flown to numerous European cities I'm sure. Anyhow...

Yeah... I'm bored and rambling ... Hope you're not actually reading my drivel!

You are stuck in a liminal place. Can be very unpredictable and anything can happen. I love airports...only when things go according to plan!
Have a safe journey! Hugs!

So I take it you're on your way back home? Just get there safely, Kim, and later you'll forget the hours of "travail." Next Monday we'll be on our way back to AMS, so we're crossing ships in the night.

One day you'll come visit us in AMS, BTW!!!

I'm sure you will enjoy your stay in Canada but you won't have any lovely spring weather. I doubt Halifax is much different from Toronto weatherwise right now...have fun...ciao

I'm from California and I know that exact coffee shop and that exact plug and can still cough just thinking about the smoke. I had to laugh at your post; it makes the world feel a little smaller. Thanks.

O... I too love airports and traveling through-- but I still feel stress before I am on my way.

Ginnie... For a few days we're on the same side of the Atlantic!

Oreneta... Coco has a second family who thinks she is their long lost baby sister! They spoil her and love her to bits. We're so lucky :)

Swenglish... I am really surprised! (But happy) Thanks for reading!

Rosita... Oh gosh... let's not talk about this weather!! Unbelievable! But I am so blessed to have arrived just before this latest storm!

Traveler... isn't that fun?!

Vanda...ohhhh Vanda... that is truly a long, long journey. But knowing you- you'll do it in style! When are you traveling?
