Albania?

While paying for 2 new pairs of shoes today I mentioned that I live in Europe and hoped these would fit in my suitcases. The handsome young clerk was curious and asked "Where exactly do you live in Europe?" I told him "Albania", and he replied "Don't think I ever heard of that?" Sometimes I think the world is such a small place, and then I experience a moment like this!

Small world indeed! I am here now in my home state of Hawaii, and while attending some free hula lesson classes I met a woman that is visiting here from Wales! It's a small world after all!!!

Kim - I'm sure a lot of people are more confused since there was so much restructuring after 1990. I know what I learned totally changed. But it is a bit funny they didn't hear of the country.

You are going to have so much new stuff...good thing!
How much time is left?

Most people can not even locate their own country on a map much less another country.

One of these days you will have to hop on a boat and stop by for a visit. You can almost touch the heal of Italy! Heheheh!

Enjoy the time you have left with your parents. Have a safe trip home, as bitter sweet as it may be.

When we were telling people in Washington (DC) that we were going to Tirana, quite a few responded: "Toronto, that'll be nice!"
