One for My Mom

When I was growing up, my mother would always do her housework every Saturday morning because she worked in an office during the week. I have wonderful memories of her putting her favourite record albums on the hi-fi and turning the music up loud. Mom had a few favourites, from The Platters to My Fair Lady, but the one I most remember is her album of Viennese Waltz's by Johann Strauss. The most played track was The Blue Danube Waltz, and so, in honour of my wonderful Mother, here's a shot of Strauss in the Public Garden in Vienna.
Mom, I know we've taken you to see the Danube (in Romania), but I hope some day to bring you here to hear Strauss's music in Vienna.

Great pics! I'm really enjoying your trip to Vienna. I think the Viennese Tourist Board owes you a salary. LOL

I agree! I've had the best time looking at these pictures. I have no idea when I'll ever get to Vienna to visit, but when I do, I know what I'll want to see in person.

Awww. I love that memory of doing housework while listening to waltzes! I, too, have loved your photo-journal and just told Donica, "We need to go to Vienna!"
