I've read Ruth Reichl's two other books, Tender to the Bone and Comfort Me With Apples - but haven't read the Garlic and Sapphires one for some reason - but it sounds interesting - so I'm gonna give it a try.
I'm a former Canadian too - Manitoba area!
Hi there! Thanks for stopping by my blog :) I love your book club's selection's for 2008. I have also read Ruth Reichl's Comfort me with Apples, but not this one. I'm going to look for Labyrinth :)
Hi Kim!
Glad to see you back posting! Lot's of good books around...
Hasve a great weekend!
I've read both the Ruth Reichl book and Bury me standing, both excellent, I would find it hard to wait on Bury Me Standing though....should be fun, and fascinating.
Hi everyone and thanks for your comments :)
ee... nice to meet you and to visit your interesting blog!
ash... Labyrinth is a sort of Da Vinci Code story but I thought it was far better written!
gmg... taking care of my blog is my only new year's resolution! But don't worry- I have been reading all my favourite blogs using Google reader!
oreneta...I actually listened to Galric & Sapphires on my iPod last year when we didn't have our generator and the days were dark and boring. Now I'm going to read it. I've been wanting to read Bury Me Standing for years- since we lived in Romania. But now that we're here in Albania, where a large part of the book takes place, it should be fascinating!
