I'm Back!

Dear Friends,

I can't believe a month has gone by without me posting on my blog! I feel terribly guilty about not keeping things up-to-date, and I find it gets harder to write the longer I put it off because it then becomes so difficult to decide what news should take priority. When I look at the calender from the past month I can find dozens of good excuses for not blogging- my son and his girlfriend were here for a 10 day visit, we moved from the apartment to a lovely villa, and I took a short trip with friends to a very beautiful part of Albania.

Boxes surround me now as I pull my laptop into bed and sip my morning coffee. I am truly happy right here. My bedroom window looks over a field where I spy several cows and sometimes a horse or two even though we still live in the city! I hear birds and children rather than buses and police whistles. The air feels fresher and the winds that used to bother me are softer and don't take my laundry away.

I have 800 or so photos to sort through from our trip along the Albanian coast, and several hundred from my trip to Berat and the Osumi Canyon (spectacular!), but this has to wait until I find things such as a can opener and nail clippers hidden somewhere inside all these boxes. I'm working on it but as they say in Albanian "avage avage", which means "slowly slowly" a phrase I love in times like these. I have somehow managed to keep reading everyone's blogs so I do know if you've been naughty or nice and will pass the info on to Santa ASAP.

Looking forward to bringing things up-to-date again,
Kim

So nice to hear from you again...looking forward to what you have to say...it is intimidating to have a backlog, I tend to simply never do it, otherwise I never write anything.

Welcome back! So glad that all is well. I know what you mean about not blogging for a while. It seems the longer I go without posting, the harder it is to get myself posting again. So happy to see you back and looking forward to seeing some pictures.

Piano, piano, as they say Italy (slowly, slowly)...

Welcome back! I know what you mean about blogging too, I've got serious backlog as well. Maybe it's just the spring? We're all out doing other things?

Sounds like you made a nice move!
