Sunday Fun

Jumping around the Internet/Blogosphere this morning and landed on a few very interesting sites. I share them with you and suggest you take a look if you have some time today.

A fantastic blog Ironic Sans. I found almost every posting interesting and enjoyable especially the one on the Astoria Papers. Truly fascinating stuff here!

I have an obsession with notebooks with every type of paper and covers. I REALLY REALLY have to control myself when I am in a shop that sells any kind of papergoods. I already have a large collection of notebooks, from a very tiny one with turquoise paper and the word "WHY?" stamped on the cover in gold, to many large hardcover notebooks, some empty- some filled with scraps, poems, ideas, sketches. So you can imagine my delight/fear when I found Notebookism this morning. Ooo la la! What joy- what desire- what love! Would someone please hold me back-- I want all of them!

Spend some time over at Enchanted Hearts Studio. Here you will find a fantasticlly creative soul who loves beautiful things as much as I do. Lots of eye candy and inspiration to be far more creative in our everyday lives. Life is just too short to forget our need to create. All of us need to create. The more I think about it, the more I am coming to believe that this is the purpose of Life. It's so basic and so easy. Just do it. CREATE . Yeah!

Okay... you really do have to be quite an obsessive/compulsive type of human being to keep a list of every single book you have read since 1968!!!!!!!! Go skim through Art Garfunkel's Library and be amazed by his list of what he has read. I'm impressed.

And just for fun POGO is a cool site with lots of timewasting games.

With all the pot Garfunkel has smoked during his career, I would be surprised if he's able to retain anything he reads...

I had a good laugh over this post, Kim, because there's yet another thing we both love: notebooks/pads. And I take after my dad before me. I actually think Nicholas will be the same way--from one generation to the other! I particularly like lined pages. The narrower the better! :)

I'm a papergoods junkie too. I managed a sationary store for a few years after uni... man that was bad for the budget, but I had gift giving wrapped up (litteraly) for several years after the fact :) I love the Enchanted Hearts site too... beautiful work!

Oh I'm a sucker for notebooks and journals too. That Notebookism site is going to be trouble.

There are a lot of beautiful sites out there - I have a small list of favorites under "the inspiration" in my links, and then I follow their links and I get lost in a beautiful world. But I hadn't found Enchanted Hearts yet. Love finding new things!
