Can You Read Albanian?

I'm honoured to share something that I think is really cool!

My post about Verdi's opera The Masked Ball has been translated into Albanian and is posted on one very fine Albanian website called Peshku Pa Uje which means something like A Fish Without Water. I am getting a big thrill out of knowing that someone took the time to translate something I wrote into Albanian. Thank you Blendi!

Yeah, I noticed that too... Congratulations on being a published and translated journalist.

I hope they asked for permission before doing it. :)

It drew lots of attention on our blog as well. People were happy you came to find out that despite overall poverty, Albanians are actually very appreciative of the finer arts.

We have had a long and exellent opera tradition and following, same goes for ballet and thiatre.

The sad part is the "tragically low" budgets these artists have to make do with. Yet, man does not live of bread alone.

Faleminderit Kim.
