Inspired by Gia's blog today, I have polished up my kitchen and taken a few photos, but I'm definitely not brave enough to show the inside of a cupboard! Take a look- I hardly have any cupboards so you can imagine what the inside looks like of the one pantry cupboard that I do have. It's a nightmare keeping it organised because you sort of have to stock up on things when you find them. I just took a look in there and I am really wondering what I was thinking when I bought organic miso soup in a tube?? In the 1st shot you can see my cookbook desk where I can now sit and look at cookbooks and plan dinners etc. In the summer it was just too hot to sit there even with airco and a canopy on the terrace, so I put aluminum foil on the window behind the desk (I really HATE to admit I did that-but it helped!).
I swung my camera around to the left a bit and tok another shot. So here you see the pantry (the two opaque doors) and you can sort of see the state it's in if you squint! To its left is my wrought iron baker's rack from Romania which continues to come in handy even though it weighs a ton and is such a pain to move around. I've displayed my salt and pepper collection and my tea pots there, while P has taken over the bottom shelf with his exotic liquor/liquer collection. (It's actually spilling over onto the floor these days). I like my kitchen but I wish it had more cupboard and counter space. The natural light is lovely and I have great views of the surrounding mountains, making it a good place to be.

Very nice looking kitchen! We are still living with small apartment kitchens, but that will change in a couple of years when our house is finished. I can't wait.
You have a beautiful kitchen! I love it. You have inspired me to take some pics of mine to post BUT...first I have a little weekend cleaning to do (in the kitchen of course).

What a beautiful room! You are so lucky to have all that light and a terrace just off your kitchen. I love kitchens that are less fitted and seem more like a room with furniture. Yours is lovely.
Hi there Kim,
your kitchen is to die for. sorry i should have tagged you but have not known you ling so did not want to tag you if you weren't the type to enjoy it. now that I know I can tag you for other meme's okay?
I think the meme's are fun especially if they force you to be creative! So go ahead.... it feels so nice to have found a few interesting expat ladies who blog!
Very pretty kitchen, Kim! It looks so airy and spacious. My kitchen is 17 yrs old and REALLY needs an overhaul so I doubt I'll be presenting it on the internet any time soon. I love peeking into other people's living spaces though. :-)
nice job on the kitchen!
