Bring on the Food!

Somethings really thrill me about living in Tirana. One is the brand new supermarket (well really a small hypermarket) and MALL which just opened last weekend. I went there yesterday morning and it was wonderful! There are some nice boutiques, electronic shops, banks, and a really nice cafe; all this plus the hypermarket! I bought some rare treats and even met the store owner and gave him a few suggestions. He says he'll try to bring in whatever we want if possible. For now there were products from France, Italy, and even the UK. I also spotted Canadian maple syrup and pancake mix.

In my cart were the following items:
Campbell's Lentil Soup-I've never seen this one before but we love lentil soup!
Carnation Evaporated Milk- when you can't buy real cream this will do in coffee.
Shweppe's Ginger Ale- (goes with the next item)
Seagram's VO Canadian Whiskey- with ginger ale, my favourite drink!
V8 Juice- healthy, low cal, non-fat and yummy!
Ocean Spray Cranberry Cocktail- again very healthy and fab with a spot of vodka.
Friut Cake- from France and wonderful with a cup of tea.
Warm whole wheat bread- i had to wait for it to come out of the oven!
Ritz Crackers- can always be used to make Mock Apple Pie!

The presence of such a shop will literally improve my quality of life and my happiness. It just felt so wonderfully normal.
