Saturday Scrapbook...

From a meme that's making it's way around the blogiverse...

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

So I grab "The Mermaid Chair", and proceed as directed:

"Mike would crunch through the candy shell immediately to get to the chocolate in the middle, while I licked and licked, wearing it down in an agonizingly slow process." (pg. 161)

Now it's your turn.

*************************

I bought these amazing organic carrots at the market yesterday. The normal ones were so soft and limp I can't imagine anyone would buy them. These organic ones were so lovely and firm- quite the opposite of what one would expect. So I took a few pics...

I was stunned to find that someone had tied these gorgeous carrots with a faded piece of velvet... who knows... perhaps cut from the cloth of a glamourous gown?

Anyhow, with a yummy bit of garlic dip, they made a tasty mid afternoon snack!

And for a bit of culture, I'll add my personal attempt at waxing poetic on this wet, windy Saturday...

I know Magnetic Poetry is so dated but I dusted mine off this week and hung it on my fridge just to see if I could be inspired.

Hope your day has been as lovely as mine!

My God everything you write about reminds me of Seinfeld episode. Maybe because Seinfeld holds the meaning of life.

So, did the velvet remind anyone else of the episode where George claims he would love to drape himself in velvet. Maybe it came out of George Costanza's pants that piece... hopefully it wasn't from the crotch ;D

eeeeewwwwwwwwww!

So if everything I write about reminds you of a Seinfeld episode... and if Seinfeld holds the meaning of life... it follows (logically) that I (and my beloved blog) also hold the same meaning. Right?

You reasoning might be a tad presumptuously flawed, but nevertheless it's a nice try ;)

eyeyeyeyeyeeeeeeee...the meaning of life? magnetic poetry, organic non limp Carrots, and it seemed more like a jawbreaker to me... "Huh" Elaine exhales....

Swallowing stones...pg. 161 "I loved Bach and Brahms and Mozart-Bach in particular"

The question is ... who would hate these guys...

and it is a lazy peaceful weekend....

(The driver got out of the car to learn why we were delayed)

I did the meme over at my blog. It's a meme, after all :)) Lovely one, too. Many thanks for stopping by and considering it a great blog.

Those carrots remind me that I haven't seen the market place in a while. Why, it's not open at night!

its, it seems to me that anything would resemble Seinfeld to you, just like everything resembles Friends or STC or whatnot to others; wish I experienced this, if only once. Seen any other series lately?

I thought the velvet was some kind of creepy crawlie!
